Transaction Coordinator vs. Listing Coordinator: What KW Agents Need to Know
KW agents often use the terms 'TC' and 'listing coordinator' interchangeably. They are not the same job. Here's the distinction and how to think about which one (or both) you need.
Transaction coordinator: contract to close
A transaction coordinator manages the file after a contract is executed. They handle KW Command setup, Greensheet and MCA submission, deadline tracking, communication with title and lender, inspection scheduling, and getting the deal to a clean close. The TC's clock starts the moment the contract is signed.
Listing coordinator: pre-contract
A listing coordinator manages the file before there's a contract. They prepare the listing agreement, enter the listing in the KW Listing System and MLS, coordinate photos and videos, set up showings and lockboxes, manage feedback, deploy marketing pieces, and handle price changes. The listing coordinator's clock starts the moment you sign the listing agreement.
Why most KW agents need both
If you're listing and selling, both sides of every deal need administrative coverage. KW agents who hire only a TC still get stuck doing all the listing work themselves. Agents who hire only a listing coordinator still get stuck doing all the contract-to-close work. The most leveraged KW agents have both — often through one provider like PLS that handles both as separate, bundled services.
How PLS handles both
Precision Leverage Solutions offers Transaction Coordination and Listing Management as separate services for KW agents. They can be bundled into one workflow so the same team handles a listing from pre-contract through close, with full fluency in the KW Listing System, KW Command, and the MCA workflow.
